The History of Tec Group
Tec Group was initially founded in 2000 as Griffin Assessors by Charles Griffin, where he operated out of his own home with his wife Shirley.
As the company expanded, and more staff were required to keep up the daily operations, in 2006 the company re-branded to Tec Reports Ltd, and eventually relocated in offices situated within Bretby Business Park.
In 2013 as the company continued expand they relocated to bigger offices situated within Bretby Business Park.
In 2018 Tec Reports Ltd became part of Tec Group Ltd.
In November 2018, the business relocated to its current location, where purpose-built offices were created, located within the heart of National Forest due to the closure of Gillivers.

Built from the ground up TEC Group has always been Charles’ consuming passion. He lives and breathes engineering and every aspect of the automotive sector; balancing clients’ needs with the ever-changing landscape of engineering. Outside TEC Group, when there is time, you are likely to see Charles climbing up mountains in Scotland or Wales or being a hands-on Granddad to an ever-growing brood!

Charles’ biggest supporter and the TEC Group’s backbone, Shirley, is passionate about every aspect of the business with each and every member of our team being of primary importance in achieving a healthy and happy work environment. At home I can often be found in our poly tunnels growing all manner of produce to juice as well as doing the odd spinning class (5 times a week!)! And of course, doting on the grandkids.
